Versatility as a Voice Actor

Versatility as a voice actor is imperative.

These are two different spots. I recorded for two different clients at two different times but for the same brand.

Can you hear the difference in video 1 versus video 2? I can.

Video one wanted a more clean, more professional tone, and video 2 wanted something more casual and youthful.

video 1: my technique was to use deeper tones, more resonance, and vocal pitch variety with visualizations of confidence and poise.

Video 2

Video 2: for a more youthful tone I added some vocal fry (think raspy California accent) and lifted my pitch and speed up. I visualized being a young 20-year-old going to college.

Being able to make adjustments and give a versatile style is key in the voice-over industry.

These were both recorded from my home recording studio. I feel so blessed to be able to have work come to me on a weekly basis. Clients from all across the country hire me for voice over work. Many people ask me how I get this work, and truly it has been word of mouth.

With that said, if you ever need voice over services, reach out here and I will produce a high quality recording for your brand and project. Everything from On-Hold voice recordings to audiobooks and commercial spots.
